Jake Wesley began his musical journey in Midland, Texas, writing his first handful of songs in high school. With a guitar in hand and a desire to chase something bigger, Wesley eventually made his way across the state to College Station, Texas, where he attended Texas A&M University.

During his sophomore year at A&M, Wesley released his debut single, “Ms. Blue Eyes” (2024) — a song recorded inside a small studio box tucked away in the A&M library. It was a humble beginning, but it marked the start of something much bigger.

About a year later, Wesley met Cristian Lansdale. After discovering that both shared the same ambition of becoming professional musicians, Lansdale offered Wesley a place to stay during the summer of 2025. The two spent the summer busking, writing, playing, and figuring out how to make a life in music.

That summer became the foundation for what would follow.

Wesley and Lansdale eventually headed to Austin, Texas, where they recorded an EP at The Orb Studios. One of the songs from that project would go on to surpass 1 million streams in less than a year, turning what started as two guys chasing a dream into something much bigger.

Along the way, the lineup grew. Jake Wesley on vocals and acoustic guitar, Cristian Lansdale on electric guitar, Jacob Juarez on bass guitar, and Payton Massingham on drums came together through a shared obsession with music and the belief that they could build something of their own.

What started with songs written in a Midland bedroom and a summer spent busking has evolved into Jake Wesley & The Rowdy Rustic — a brotherhood forged through music, built on the road, and driven by the pursuit of making something that lasts.

They didn't start with a record deal, a packed venue, or a roadmap. They started with a guitar, a few songs, and the decision to go for it.

And they have more to show the world..
